This is a temporary page I have made as the start of a section of the site devoted to the music and life of my father, Grant Beglarian.

The first thing I am posting here is an mp3 of a live recording of a piece of his called Sinfonia for Strings. The piece was written in 1974 and a score and performing materials are available from Edward B. Marks Music.

The reason I put this up first is because Cheryl Seamster, the conductor of the New Providence High School Orchestra in New Jersey, is preparing a performance of the piece with her students, and she wrote me asking if there was a recording. (...and who says music education is dead in America!?!)

So here it is, and I'm sorry I cannot credit or ask permission of the performers on this ancient recording, because I have no idea who they are!
